Any size, no tooling charge

Stock dies cut to your inside dimensions, so a custom footprint costs the same as a catalogue size.

You approve a layered dieline and, on request, hold an unprinted box before the run.

About this product

What tuck flap boxes is, and when it is the right call

The extended front flap is the simplest reclosable closure in paperboard. Instead of tucking into a slot on the same panel, the flap runs the full depth of the face and folds down over the front, so the pack opens and closes repeatedly without tearing anything.

That matters for products used over time rather than emptied at once — tea, supplements, cards, refills. Customers keep the box, and the front flap gives you an uninterrupted panel for a printed message that is only seen after purchase.

Runs on 16pt board and heavier so the flap holds a crease. Magnetic and ribbon closures can be added, though at that point rigid construction is usually the better answer. Minimum 250 units. Order it alongside crash lock bottom boxes or soft touch boxes and the run costs less per unit. See tuck boxes for the full set, or our retail and apparel pages.

Buyers often compare this against straight tuck end boxes and top tuck boxes, and every tuck carton we make sits on the tuck boxes page. Specified most often for retail and shelf and gift and occasion packaging. Shop Tuck Boxes quotes this carton in any size you need, with a free dieline and an unprinted blank sample before you commit.

Notes from the floor

Board weight decides more than the product category does. Most boxes we are asked to quote are specified one step heavier than they need to be, and that shows up on every unit.

Where a product sits near the limit of a construction, ask for both options to be quoted. The difference is usually a cent or two a unit and the decision becomes obvious.

Not sure this is the right construction?

Send the product dimensions and weight. Our structural team will name the construction that fits — including when it is a cheaper one than this.
