Six insert types
The right one depends on product weight, fragility and how much you want the opening to feel staged.
What an insert is actually for
Two jobs, and they pull in different directions. The first is protection: stop the product moving, because movement is what breaks things in transit. The second is presentation: the product should be the first thing visible and it should look deliberate, not dropped in.
Foam does the first job best and can look industrial. Printed board trays do the second job best and protect less. Tell us the product, its weight and how it will travel, and we will say which one the job actually needs — including when the honest answer is no insert at all.
Designed from the product
We cut inserts from your product dimensions with the clearance the material needs. Guessing here is what causes rattle and returns.
Material and perception
EVA foam reads technical and premium. Moulded pulp reads sustainable. Printed board reads retail. All three protect adequately for most products.
Quote it with the carton
An insert designed alongside its carton fits the first time. Ordered separately from another vendor, it usually needs a second revision.

Moulded pulp, then folded board. Both are recyclable and both come in recycled content. Foam is neither, so we only recommend it where fragility genuinely demands it.
