Six mailer constructions
All six fold from one piece and need no tape on the seams. What changes is how much abuse they take and how fast they assemble.
Why the size matters more than the board
Carriers bill on dimensional weight, which means volume, not just mass. A mailer with an inch of clearance on every side can push a parcel into the next dim band and add more to the shipping line than the box itself costs.
The second cost is void fill. Every inch of air you ship has to be filled with paper or air pillows so the product does not move, and that is material you buy, store and pay someone to stuff. Sizing the mailer to the product removes both costs at once.
Flute and ECT
E-flute at 32 ECT covers most products under five pounds. Above that, or for anything fragile, B or C flute earns its cost.
Print where it counts
Full coverage on a mailer is the least efficient print spend in packaging — carriers handle it before the customer does. Inside print survives the journey.
Assembly time
Roll end tuck front folds in about four seconds. A tray and lid takes three times that, which matters at a thousand orders a week.
